Saansad Adarsh Gram Yojana (SAJY)

About SAGY

The Scheme is unique and transformative as it has a holistic approach towards development. It envisages integrated development of the selected village across multiple areas such as agriculture, health, education, sanitation, environment, livelihoods, etc.

The goal is to develop three Adarsh Grams by March 2019, of which one would be achieved by 2016. Thereafter, five such Adarsh Grams (one per year) will be selected and developed by 2024. Hon'ble Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has requested all Members of Parliament (MP) to develop one model village in their constituency by year 2016 and two more by 2019. Department of Rural Development has formulated guidelines of the scheme. Hon'ble Prime Minister has released the guidelines on 11'th Oct 2014 at Vigyan Bhawan, New Delhi.

District Collector, Ajmer acts as Nodal Officer, whereas CEO Zila Parishad Ajmer acts as Officer In charge in SAGY. Further guidelines of SAGY have been released and uploaded on in the website of the scheme.
